Physical Therapy Assistant

Saratoga Medical currently has an immediate opening for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work at Lemoore Naval Hospital in Caifornia. This PTA will be working a full-time work week Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Provide services to the active-duty population!

• Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients. 
• Under supervision, will administer such treatment as exercise, gait training, massage, whirlpool, hot packs, diathermy, utrasound, paraffin, ice packs and traction. 
• Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities. 
• Observe patients during treatment and compile and evaluate data on patients' responses to treatments and progress 
• Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces and other supportive device
• Confer, discuss, and evaluate patient information with members of the physical therapy staff and other health team members 

• Must have an Associates Degree
• Must be a graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year of experience as a PTA after graduation 
• Must have current, full, active, an unrestricted license to practice as a PTA
