Mammography Technician Aide

Saratoga Medical currently has an immediate opening for a Mammography Technician Aide to work in the Women's Imaging Center, Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This Mammography Technician Aide will be working a full-time work week rotating schedule, Monday through Sunday, seven days a week. Provide services to the active duty population!

• Provide a full range of technologist and radiologist facilitation duties in support of the Women's Imaging Center at Brooke Army Medical Center. Working under general supervision receiving assignments from medical staff in accordance with daily workflow. 
• Uploading prior imaging studies and reports into the Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS). Researching and retrieving prior imaging studies from various Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) and performing exam data entry. 
• Responsible for printing Breast Imaging/Mammography appointment daily schedule for examinations and all relevant paperwork. 
• Performing a variety of administrative functions, such as front desk coverage, assisting Mammography Supervisor and Breast Imaging Nurse. 

• Posess a year of experience in a medical office with knowledge of procedures for receiving patients for treatment, confirming eligibility, determining priority of appointment, scheduling appointments, and providing general administrative information.
• Skill in effectively and tactfully communicating with patients and their families in scheduling and adusting appointments, explaining requirements and contacting patients when changes must be made in appointments.
• Have skill in operating a computer, terminal, and microcomputer
• Have knowlege of preparatory instructions for mammograms in order to instruct patients when making appointments.
